Community Organization Working for Stewardson to Sponsor Beautiful Yard of the Month Contest

Published by admin on May 6th, 2011 - in Uncategorized

The Community Organization Working for Stewardson has announced a new monthly contest for all Stewardson residents – The Beautiful Yard of the Month Award! Many residents have worked hard to get their yards in top condition, to improve their landscaping, and to help in the overall beautification of Stewardson. The Housing and Beautification Action Team of C.O.W.S. wants to recognize these beautiful yards.

There will be 5 Judge’s Choice Awards – one each for June, July, August, and September, as well as the Most Patriotic Yard to be judged June 25th in conjunction with the Stewardson 4th of July celebration. Each month’s award will be judged the last weekend of the month prior to the Award month. For example, the June Beautiful Yard of the Month will be judged by impartial judges the last weekend of May.

Each winner will receive a sign to place in their yard for all to see and recognition on and in local media.

All Stewardson residents are encouraged to participate!
