Stewardson is mooooving forward!  All residents of Stewardson and the surrounding area are invited to attend a Community-Wide Meeting at the Stewardson Community Building on Sunday, February 27th at 4:00 pm.

Last fall, Stewardson, IL enlisted the help of the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs to take a proactive approach to MAPPING the Future of Our Community.  MAPPING stands for Management and Planning Programs Involving Non-metropolitan Groups.  Guided by representatives of Western Illinois University, local leaders and citizen volunteers created a long-range vision for Stewardson and developed plans of action for achieving it.  They are now ready to unveil this positive vision to the community.   Now is the time for the rest of the community to join forces to realize these positive changes and plans for the future.

There will be fun for the whole family!  Enjoy entertainment by Dance Etc. as well as members of the Stew-Stras High School Band.  Illinois State Representative Roger Eddy and a representative of US Senator Mark Kirk will make a brief presentation and be on hand to answer questions.  Several surprise presentations will take place.

Best of all – a free meal will be served to all!

So don’t miss out on this fun and informative evening.  Remember, you don’t have to live within Stewardson to attend.  Anyone with an interest in Stewardson’s future is invited.  Join the herd, as Stewardson moooves forward!
